Code in a slot 1 card (DSTT) versus slot 2 SuperCard Lite

Post by dresch » Wed Apr 01, 2009 4:04 am

Hi,
I have been successully running my own homebrew (created from devkitpro libnds) code out of a slot 1 card DSTT card with no problem. I recently acquired a slot 2 Supercard Lite and ran flashme. I have some homebrew hardware hanging out slot 1 and got tired of swapping it in and out to run the DSTT.

The Supercard is recognized fine, but all of my code which ran fine in the DSTT just white-screens from the Supercard. Could anyone give me tips on best methods for getting homebrew code to run off the Supercard Lite? Personal experience would be much appreciated.

Yeah, replying to my own post. The way to make the code work with Supercard Lite:
1. Find a copy of DSBUILD. A version is included with the devkitpro installation, or download off the web.
2. Generate your normal *.nds file.
3. Drag the *.nds file over the DSBUILD exe. DSBUILD will automatically generate a *.ds.gba file (same name) in the original directory of the *.nds file.
4. Rename the *.ds.gba file to *.sc.nds
5. Load the *.sc.nds file onto your microSD card.
6. Plug your microSD card into Supercard Lite, boot, select and play.

This has worked with every piece of homebrew code I have. Thank you DSBUILD.
