Well uh, I've started to dip my toes into Wii Homebrew, so, Hello! :D
I've been messing around for a few hours, and uh... lets just say the documentation has been lacking.
There are barely any tutorials, and of those, all of them gloss over most of the GX functions. I'm like: "The hell does GX_* do?" for almost everything. And there's only so much you can learn from glossing over other application's code.
So, how did most of the people here get started?
Thanks, schnitzel.

GX documentation?
Remember, schnitzel can't hurt you, it's an inanimate object.

Re: GX documentation?
Firstly, yes, we could do a lot better with documentation. It's something that's unfortunately difficult to address with the resources we currently have.
We do have a set of examples that were based on the nehe gl tutorials which go some way towards illustrating GX usage. They're disributed with the tools under/opt/devkitpro/examples/(wii|gamecube)/graphics/gx/neheGX
There are some other bits & pieces I'm trying to gather together currently
