None of the examples work. Only white screen.

Hello Everyone! I'm new to devkitARM and I have a strange issue.
I used the installer to setup devkitARM on Windows and used msys2 to compile every single example. They all compile successfully, but when I try to play them on DeSmuME, nothing happens. The emulator stays in an eternal white screen.
At first I thought it was a problem with the emulator but other games work fine. What am I missing here?

I'm actually running into this same problem. i hadn't updated devkitpro in a while but the version i had came with programmers notepad.
i had errors trying to update so i did a fresh install. now games I'm building & the examples are all white screen on dsmume. seem to work on no$gba.

The examples all work on hardware when run via hbmenu but require some updates in emulators. We submitted fixes to melonDS which are available in the 1.0RC release and those fixes were ported to DeSmuME here but the latter has yet to see a new release. If you dig around in https://github.com/TASEmulators/desmume/actions/ you can find the build artifacts for various platforms but perhaps open an issue there asking for a release and/or an easier way to find nightlies.
