Fat file structure

Hello everyone...

I've not had much luck searching around, but I was wondering that if one does choose to use FAT for file loading and saving, is there a community approved folder structure?

I think most people dump there stuff in the root folder, cluttering up the root folder. root/DATA/mygame/ is most preferred and used by some games/programs, but sadly not everyone uses it.
