Stylus Error

Post by DarkShadow44 » Sun Jun 07, 2009 5:08 pm

Hello,

if I've just installed "libnds-1.3.4" and "default_arm7-0.5.3" core and the stylus didn't work...

As I installed the previous versions it worked.

Is that a bug ?

I have exactly the same problem... I can't make it work !!! :(
Did you find anything ?
Someone? An idea?

I tried a lots of emulators and roms so I know i doesn't come from the emulator.
I also tried older examples with devkitPro and it works...
So, any idea ?

If the problem is observed on an emulator then the chances are high that the emulator is at fault. All code is tested on hardware, we don't implement workarounds for emulator bugs.

I have this problem with hardware. If I compile my program at home where I have an older version of devkitpro (sorry not sure which one at the moment) installed the touchscreen works perfectly when I run the program on the ds. When I compile the program at work where I have the latest devkitpro version and run this nds file on the ds, the touchscreen works for about 2 touches then fails.

I am using a supercard lite.

Any ideas?

This seems to be true for no$gba with libnds 1.3.5. This is really unfortunate because this is the testing emulator of choice (works with libfilesystem, always been closest to hardware, etc...), and it's no longer being updated as far as I know.

Is there nothing else that can be done? Any other emulator to suggest? Testing builds on hardware is no big deal, but once you have a difficult bug to hash out it becomes rather annoying.

Sorry about that... it actually still doesn't work in 2.6 from what I can see. I just ended up trying *ahem* another version...
