New Subject: bug: keyboard background corruption on games_n_music card

Note, I deleted the rest of my posts in this thread because I've simplified this problem:

The keyboard_stdin.nds from the latest sourceforge nds examples, compiled with the latest tools, shows corruption in the keyboard background layer, when booted on the games_n_music card.

I wouldn't be real broken up if told that that card is unsupported, although it would suck, because I like for demo purposes, being able to say I'm running on something I bought at walmart.

I'd appreciate it if another games_n_music owner could try it out and confirm or deny this report.

Anyway, I do have another issue with backgrounds, but clearly I'm not as confused as I thought I was (when I thought this problem was my fault with tile and map bases).

I just built those same examples, and yes, the keyboard backdrop has some odd corruption. I haven't looked at the code yet to see if there's a reason for it, but there was a bug in one of the other samples(nehe10b.c, wasn't allocating space for the texture handle, so there was no textures..) so I figure this one is probably a bug too.

Do you have proof it's just this one card (I use the GnM too, it was cheap and handy) or is it more likely a bug in this build?

I can't prove that it is only the gnm, but the same binary doesn't show problems on my r4, or under desmume. But given that last night WinterMute accused me of violating the devkitpro trademark for the mere redistribution of unmodified gpl binary packages from sourceforge, I think this bug will have to get solved without my further help.
