MMU / Paging support, ever?

I see that LibOGC enables the BATs, and that the Wii loader format appears to have support for a simulated memory size:
Is anyone looking into possibly adding MMU/ Paging support into the official LibOGC package?
Does the IOS support anything to set this up? It's odd that the loader format references a simulated memory size.
There is also this configmem_256 (system.c | system.S), I assume this is only for devkits that have additional memory?
