DSi and WPA

Hi,

If I understand well, dswifi doesn't support WPA. This made sense since the DS was not supposed to do it (see other thread).

Now the DSi has WPA/WPA2 support. For ex. see http://exophase.com/ds/nintendo-dsi-has ... t-8039.htm and I can confirm that it does (my home access point is WPA protected and I could connect my DSi).

Are there any plans to support WPA in the module, or if not any clue about how to make it work ?

Thanks

Michel

Until you can compile and run native DSi mode homebrew I don't think that the dswifi library will be updated to support WPA. This is just an assumption by myself mind you.

It's been almost one year since this topic was started. Does dswifi support WPA now? I'm new to this homebrew stuff, but I have some experience in C/C++ and I'm interested in adding WPA support to the Bunjalloo browser. I successfully downloaded its source code and compiled it against the latest toolchain (had to do some minor tweaks though).

Thanks. =)

It's generally considered bad manners to resurrect old threads like this, it's known as necroposting. I'll let this one go since there isn't any information in this thread which no longer applies to current tools.

The DSi doesn't support WPA when running in DS mode, afaik that's not possible. Dswifi has not yet been updated to support WPA and won't be until someone determines how WPA is set on the hardware. As yet there's still no way to use a filesystem in DSi mode and there are other aspects of DSi mode which will probably be RE'd before WPA ls looked at.
