Hello wintermute, i'm very happy to find out that you provide Binarys for OS X (i'm using lion 10.7.4), but the Installation procedure which you provide isn't 100% complete, you could add a few things:
- .bashrc are known as .bash_profile which must be created by yourself on a clean installation of Mac
- XCode must be installed with Command Line Tools
- Hyperlink to Perlupdater aren't working
