Update sdl2 family to latest version?

Hello! First of all, forgive my English. I have a question, there is an OpenSource project called BennuGD2 that is used to develop games for multiple platforms that include Nintendo Switch and I am one of the people who is testing said version on the console. The developer has encountered a problem when adding new functions and the fact is that on switch the SDL2 library is not updated to the latest available version, so those functions are not available, are there plans to update the version or on the contrary can the source code of the port be accessed? We recently updated the switch port to 2.28.5 and it's available via whatever flavour of pacman you're using.
