Downloading large files

Sorry for so many posts in a row, I can't find how to edit posts.

I've uploaded a simplified version of my code:

Once again the problem is that after an arbitrary amount of data has been received the DS will refuse to receive any more data, and will refuse to reconnect, with an obscure and probably wrong error relating to "XENIX" on connect() call.
