For the past year or so I've been working on porting the LÖVE framework to both 3DS and Switch.
LÖVE is used for creating 2D games in the Lua programming language.
It comes with its own super easy to learn API to:
- load audio and images
- read and write files
- handle user input (buttons and touch!)
- .. and much more!
For releases, check out the GitHub Repo and click the Releases tab. It contains both 3DS and Switch binaries for homebrew.
Soon I'll be updating the 3DS version to be up-to-date with the Switch branch, as that now uses the most recent LÖVE release, 11.1.
Special Thanks
- fincs for his contributions to the 3DS GPU (citro3d and citro2d libraries)
- WinterMute for the toolchains provided. Without devkitARM or devkitA64, Löve Potion wouldn't exist.
- Videah, the original creator of Löve Potion. If he didn't start Löve Potion back in the day, it wouldn't have gotten this far today.
