Post by n-Development » Tue May 22, 2012 4:00 am

Hi all I'm new, I am trying to make the Hello World ds example but am having some trouble. How do I compile it so that I can run it on my ds? Please I am still nooby at this so some help would be greatly appreciated.

Look at the nds examples. There is a hello world app already in there.

the msys shell included in devkitpro is especially useful in compiling the examples... just run msys.bat, navigate to the project's directory and 'make'

Most of the examples have project files for Programmer's Notepad, assuming you're on windows. If you used the windows installer/updater then you should be able to just double click the .pnproj file, open a source file then click tools->make or ALT+1.

Soon I hope to replace PN2 with CodeLite so all platforms have the same editor.

I'll only use CodeLite if you give me instructions on how to set up the code completion :p
