Problems installing devkitPPC through buildscripts

Post by grenadier42 » Tue Sep 02, 2008 6:49 pm

First, let me say, "I LOVE YOU".

Then, let me say I'm having some trouble installing devkitPPC through the latest buildscripts, version 200808somethingsomething.

Specifically, everything downloads fine and dandy, but then...

Code: Select all

Extracting binutils-2.18.50.tar.bz2
Extracting gcc-core-4.2.3.tar.bz2
Extracting gcc-g++-4.2.3.tar.bz2
Extracting newlib-1.16.0.tar.gz
Extracting gdb-6.8.tar.bz2
Extracting libogc-src-20080602.tar.bz2
patching file config.sub
patching file gas/config/tc-ppc.c
Hunk #1 FAILED at 847.
Hunk #2 succeeded at 1148 with fuzz 1 (offset 30 lines).
1 out of 2 hunks FAILED -- saving rejects to file gas/config/tc-ppc.c.rej
Error patching binutils

***throws me back to shell***
It all goes to hell, apparently.

:|

I've already installed devkitARM via this method with no problem, then used a fresh buildscripts to do this.
I've also tried multiple times... >_>

If anyone could help, I'd greatly appreciate it!

P.S.
I hope this was the right place to post...
A "buildscripts" help forum would be sexy, no?

Sorry, hazards of using a snapshot release for the included binutils I'm afraid. It's on the TODO list to get the source tarballs on SF up to date & use those for the buildscripts instead.

In the meantime you can use the binutils tarball currently on SF @ http://downloads.sourceforge.net/devkit ... 50.tar.bz2 . Sorry for the inconvenience.
